Hello,
we have several MS Excel macros, which use the Visual Basic to APL2
Programming Interface
(=historic design decision). With APL service level 7 these macros run well.
After we have installed the new service level 12 or 13 the macros and hence
Excel hangs.
The problem can easily reproduced with samples from the APL documentation.
While looking for a possible workaround, we figured out, if we restore the
older apl2vb.dll
from service level 7, the macros run properly.
Now we wonder whether using the older DLL reverts the fixes from SL13 or if
this DLL
is just a stub, which is indifferent from the service level? The two files
have the same size,
but they differ...
We use Windows XP SP2 and MS Office XP.
Kind regards
