APL2 & WinXP x64 SP2

Hmmm.

I do not experience this problem on 64 bit Vista and I do not have a copy of
64 bit XP. Let me see if I can get one and try it.

Only WinXP x64 SP2 is affected by the problem.
My version is:
Version 5.2 (Build 3790.srv03_sp2_rtm.070216-1710 : Service Pack 2).

Did CSD 10 work?

Since it's the session manager that is crashing, have you tried deleting the
session manager's registry entries? (They can be found at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\APL2.)

I have reproduced the error. APL2 does indeed not run on Windows XP x64
with SP2.

I will work on it.

Update:

The problem is due to an error in Windows. I have reported the problem to
Microsoft and they have reproduced it. I await further information from
them.

Update:

Microsoft has confirmed that it is a bug in their thunking layer between
Win32 and Win 64. They have provided us with several alternatives for how
to work around the problem. We will use one of them and implement a fix for
CSD 12.
